FAQ’s
Regular Program
- Early Spring: The first visit includes applying a granular controlled release fertilizer with pre-emergent crabgrass control. This application will help green-up your lawn and provide a preventative barrier for crab-grass throughout the year. We will also spot treat any weeds throughout the lawn as needed.
- Spring: The second application includes applying a granular controlled release fertilizer combined with a grub control product called acelepryn. Acelepryn is classified as reduced risk by the EPA and has a significantly lower impact on bees and pets compared to other commonly used products. We will also spot treat any weeds throughout the lawn as needed.
- Summer: The third application is an organic corn-gluten fertilizer that helps restore the microorganisms in the lawn responsible for maintaining healthy soil. We will also liquid spot treat any weeds throughout the lawn as needed.
- Late Summer: The fourth application includes applying a granular controlled release fertilizer which helps maintain a green, healthy lawn. We will also spot treat any weeds throughout the lawn as needed.
- Early-Mid Fall: The fifth application is a combined winter fertilizer and lime application. The winter fertilizer promotes a faster green-up in the Spring, while the lime helps correct the PH level (soil acidity level) in your lawn. We will also treat any weeds throughout the lawn as needed.

Yes. All of our products are safe for kids and pets as long as you follow our pre and post-application instructions. Some applications may require watering and staying off the lawn for 24 hours or until the lawn has dried. We will notify you via text and email after each application with any important notes or instructions.
Pesticide is any chemical designed to control pests. Herbicides and insecticides are types of pesticides. Herbicides control plants (Weeds) and insecticides control insects (grubs, ticks, etc). Herbicides are bad for the environment primarily when applied in excess or incorrectly. Excess herbicide chemicals can leach into the water system and harm non-targeted organisms (such as fish). Our techs are thoroughly trained and licensed to follow all proper application procedures.
Insecticides are harmful because they can affect non-targeted organisms such as Bees. The only insecticide product we use in our lawn care program is acelepryn, which is used for grub control. The EPA has classified acelepryn as a reduced risk pesticide for its low impact on non targeted organisms (bees, fish, birds, and mammals). Following proper application rates and procedures also helps to mitigate harmful environmental impacts.
The condition of your lawn at the time we start our program will determine how quickly you see improvements to your lawn. Different weather circumstances such as drought or heavy rainfall will also play a part in the results. Our techs are trained to evaluate your lawn during each application. We will inform you of any issues and recommend any necessary changes to your plan as needed throughout the year.
We recommend watering approximately 3 times per week during the early morning hours: 4:30-6 am. You may need to adjust this pattern throughout the year based on current weather patterns.
Our program will work regardless of whether you bag or mulch your grass clippings. If you mulch your grass clippings instead of bagging, be sure not to leave behind any clumps.
No, clients must sign up for all remaining applications in order to be on our fertilizing schedule.
Yes. Whether you pre-pay for the year or pay after each application, we will refund any treatments we have not yet applied if you are unsatisfied with the service. We do not provide refunds for treatments we have already applied.

CARE is our in-house quoting system that we use to ensure consistent, accurate, reasonable, and efficient quotes for all of our customers. Our system uses actual metrics taken from your property along with data from 1000s of other jobs to generate the most accurate, consistent, and fair price.
If you’ve ever requested quotes from multiple landscape companies, you probably noticed significant differences in the price and details of each proposal making it difficult to know which price is fair. When we send you a proposal using CARE, you are able to view actual metrics, detailed notes, and pictures so you know exactly what each service includes. By sending such detailed proposals, we save you time by minimizing confusion and additional communications needed to understand your quote.
One of the best parts about our CARE system is that our crew views the exact same pictures and notes we send you. This simple process helps maximize quality and consistency while minimizing scope of work issues.
